YFV3081 Winter Awards 2010

YFV3081 Winter Awards 2010 from YFV3081 on Vimeo.

A HUGE YFV3081 leap; 5 schools combine to collaborate on a project that helps them creatively move towards the school merger.

In term 3 they will each collect their school histories, record them and make the soundtrack for the claymation to be made in term 4.

Promises to be BIG.

YFV3081 Winter 2010 InCommunity Training

All five local schools took part in our InCommunity training sessions to design, budget and apply for funding for their philanthropic project.

Here are some pics of Banksia Latrobe, Bellfield, Haig St, Olympic Village and St Pius X.

The project this term is very special. Instead of coming up with their own thing, each school has committed to join together to do the West Heidelberg Youth Community Arts project. It has 3 stages:

1. Collect the stories and histories of our school and make that into a sound recording. We will work with a professional storymaker to do professionally.

2. Make the soundtrack of our stories into a claymation shortfilm. We will work with filmamker Anthony Lawrence to do this professionally.

3. Host a community change ceremony to screen our films and bring us all together as we merge into the new school.

If you know someone who has been a student or teacher of the local schools who would like to be interviewed and share their photos contact our project manager from Banyule City Council, Clare Carmody
